The Skilled Migration Australia Pass Mark Updates

australiaAustralia Department of Immigration and Citizenship announced changes to the minimum required for the visa SkillSelect again last June 15, 2012.

The pass mark for new SkillSelect visa subclasses 189, 190 and 489 will be set at 60 points. SkillSelect is a new online service that helps the Australian Government to manage the Australian skilled migration program. Applicants who wish to live and work in Australia without a sponsor employer must submit an online expression of interest (EOI) before applying for an Australian visa. Based on claims and attributes of migrants provided, applicants will receive a score against the points test to be classified SkillSelect scores with other expressions of interest. Higher scores will be invited to apply for a visa specialist.

“The delivery of a balanced migration program requires careful handling,” says a spokesman. “SkillSelect provide greater control over who can apply for a visa specialist and when you can apply.”

The current minimum requirement for General Skilled Migration subclasses 175, 176, 475, 487, 885 and 886 will remain the same at 65 points. Australia expects new SkillSelect visas to attract more foreigners with the skills and attributes needed in Australia to register their interest in migration.

Why Studying Business Should be your Goal

ImageBack in college, most of us see the future as a big playground where possibilities are endless and we can just grab whatever that comes along the way. Then there are visionaries (in their own right) who are so good in finding that thematic goal: People who are unknowingly getting the job done and who needs a little polishing on the corners.  Of course, in business we need to do a lot to gain a lot.  What do they have that rest do not?  To simply put it, probably a solid qualification in Business

At SCEI, getting a qualification encourages the person to do what is needed; to reach the positive outcome you deserve and more.  As the famous line in Christopher Nolan’s Inception, “You need to take a leap of faith” because to simply put it, nobody else would dare try.  That one diploma may take you to that goal, the one thing that you ever wanted.  A sense of fulfillment is waiting so does all other experiences associated with the product.

To be specific, the Certificate IV in Business may be the one program hindering you from getting to that dream job or to that next big enterprise.  Make sure that you already got the Certificate III in Business (or other relevant qualification) and/or prior vocational experience to qualify.

Any business programs at SCEI will require you to have the following:

  • Completion of Year 11
  • Minimum Score of 16 in SCEI Level 3 Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) Test
  • Must be 18 years and older

SCEI Australia uses both interactive classroom and self-based learning environment.  Students are to be graded based on Presentations, Activities, Projects, Written Assessments and reports.

If you see yourself in Administration or Project Management Roles, then this program is dead on target. No need to worry about the fees, this is proudly brought to you via the Skills for All program.
